However, the company has decided to discontinue its base model. The base model was priced from Rs. 9.80 lakhs. Engine and power: Let us tell you that in 2020 Mahindra Thar, the company has launched both petrol and diesel engine options. It is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, which generates 150bhp power and 320Nm peak torque. Along with this, a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel unit is also provided in Thar, which generates 130bhp power and 300Nm peak torque. Thar is Equipped with 6-speed manual and optional AMT gearboxes.

Price: In terms of price, the cheapest model of Mahindra Thar is AX OPT P MT 4WD CT priced at Rs 11.9 lakh (ex-showroom). This model will easily fit into the budget of the customers.
