The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has released sales report of vehicles sold in September, according to which the sales of passenger vehicles in September increased by 26.45 percent to 2,72,027 units as compared to 2,15,124 passenger vehicles in the same month last year. There was a sale.
According to new SIAM reports, two-wheeler sales have also gone up by 11.64 percent to 18,49,546 units as against 16,56,658 units in the same month last year.
Motorcycle sales increased by 17.3 percent to 12,24,117 units as compared to 10,43,621 units in the year 2019. Sales of scooters have also increased by 5,56,205 from 5,55,754 units last year.
In the July-September 2020 quarter, passenger vehicle sales increased by 17.02 percent to 7,26,232 units from 6,20,620 units in the previous year. Sales of two-wheelers during the September quarter stood at 46,90,565 units in the financial year against 46,82,571 units in the same period last fiscal.
However, compared to 1,67,173 units in July-September 2019, sales of commercial vehicles stood at 1,33,524 units this year, a decline of 20.13 percent. Vehicle sales during the second quarter declined marginally to 55,96,223 units from 56,51,459 units in the same period last fiscal.
