Royal Enfield showcased the Super Meteor 650 at the 2022 EICMA in Milan, Italy. At the same time, its new model can be launched in the Indian market early next year. Let us tell you that RE Super Meteor 650 has already appeared on the Indian website ahead of its local debut at the 2022 Rider Mania in Goa. The new variant of Rider Mania is going to be held from 18 to 22 November.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 bookings may start soon
It is also expected that Royal Enfield dealers may start bookings for the Super Meteor 650 in the next few days. The new cruiser has been designed and developed on the same platform. On which the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are based. This platform underpins many new 650 cc motorcycles. Which includes- Scrambler, a Classic, and a Bobber. The RE Super Meteor 650 lineup, on the other hand, will come in two variants – Standard and Touring.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Features
The new RE Super Meteor 650 shares its styling with the SG650. Which was unveiled at the 2021 EICMA. The motorcycle gets a round LED headlamp, teardrop fuel tank, retro-styled winged logo, wide handlebar, and forward set foot pegs. To enhance its retro profile, the cruiser motorcycle also gets a round-shaped tail lamp, mirrors, indicators, and instrument panel. The motorcycle also gets a twin-pod semi-digital instrument console. It is also the first bike from the brand to feature cast aluminum, old-school rotary-style switchgear.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Engine
Powering the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is the same 648cc parallel twin-cylinder engine that powers the RE 650cc twins. Its engine generates torque of 47PS and 52Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. For braking, it also gets 320mm front and 320cc rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS.
